Breda travel to Excelsior in high spirits after their most impressive
victory of the season by far. In the last round of matches, fans of the
Eredivisie (ERE) were shocked to see a 6-1 Breda win! The win plunged

are slight favourites for this match. Excelsior have gained just five
points from their last five games (W1, D2, L2) whilst Breda edge them

ahead of Breda, a few more defeats to teams below them could prove to be
risky to their ERE survival hopes. The bottom half of the table draws

Excelsior’s issues largely come down to the fact that they struggle to
score goals – with their joint top scorers on four goals apiece it is
clear to see why they are in the mire of mid-table. Breda have similar
issues however, as they look to go-to goalscorer Thierry Ambrose.
Players to watch: Hicham Faik has been one of Excelsiors best performers
this term with three goals and three assists from the centre of the
Thierry Ambrose (NAC) has scored eight goals this season, six in his
last nine games. If he scores here, the City loanee will make it three
in a row for the first time this year!
